A complete window replacement service for South West homeowners
Whether you're upgrading tired single glazing, switching to a modern anthracite aluminium look, or restoring a heritage property with timber-effect sash windows, our team delivers a precise, premium installation from start to finish.
Every quote is honest and transparent. We survey your home, talk through your options, and recommend the right product for your property — never the most expensive one.
How a window replacement works with us
We are a family-run team based in Cranbrook, Exeter, fitting replacement windows across Devon, Cornwall, Dorset and Somerset. The starting point is a free survey of your home, followed by a written quote. We measure the openings, discuss the appearance you want and look at the condition of the windows already in place. That gives you a clear basis for choosing what to replace and which frame style suits your property.
Your options include uPVC, aluminium and timber-effect frames, with A-rated glazing. We talk through the material, colour, profile and glass rather than treating every house as the same job. uPVC casements, slim-frame aluminium and timber-effect finishes offer different looks, so the survey is a chance to compare them against your existing openings. The written quote sets out the proposed work so you can consider the options before deciding. Every quote is honest and transparent.
Replacement is not always necessary. If the frames are structurally sound and the main issue is their appearance, on-site window spraying may be the cheaper option. We can quote replacement and spraying side by side, helping you choose between new windows and refreshing the frames you have. See the areas we cover for our South West coverage.
Popular styles: casement windows, flush casement windows, sash windows and uPVC windows. See replacement windows in Newton Abbot.
Not sure replacement is right for you?
If your existing windows are still structurally sound, our window spraying service can refresh them in any colour for a fraction of the cost. We'll give you both quotes side-by-side so you can decide.
Replacement windows: what to know before you choose
Choosing a window installer
When you search for window fitters or window installers near you, the companies that come back range from national brands to small local teams. We are a family-run window company based in Cranbrook near Exeter, and the same team that surveys your home is responsible for the installation. You deal with the people doing the work, not a call centre.
Whoever you choose, ask to see the quote broken down per opening, check what glass and hardware are included, and confirm who registers the building regulations certificate. Our guide to choosing a window company lists the questions worth asking.

What happens during window installation
On the day, each old window is taken out one opening at a time, so the house is never left open for long. The new frame is fixed and sealed into the opening, the sealed units are glazed in, and the inside and outside are made good before the next window comes out. Dust sheets go down first and waste is taken away at the end.
Double glazing installation follows the same pattern whether the frames are uPVC or aluminium. The survey is where problems such as rotten sub-sills or cracked render are spotted, so they can be priced before work starts rather than discovered halfway through.

Replacement windows or double glazing replacement units?
Not every draughty or misted window needs a whole new frame. If the frame is sound and only the sealed unit has failed, double glazing replacement can mean swapping just the glass. If the frames are sound and you dislike the colour, spraying refreshes them. Full replacement is the right answer when the frames are failing, the hardware is worn out or you want a different style, and we will tell you which applies at the survey.

Costs and quotes
The price of replacement windows depends on the number and size of openings, the frame material, colour, glass and access. Our cost guide explains what moves the figure and how to compare quotes fairly. Every quote we give is written, per opening and based on a free survey of your home.

More questions
Do you fit replacement windows near me?
We fit replacement windows across Devon, Cornwall, Dorset and Somerset from our base in Cranbrook near Exeter. Tell us your postcode and we will confirm a survey date.
How disruptive is window installation?
Windows are replaced one opening at a time, with dust sheets down and waste removed, so rooms are only open briefly and the house stays secure.
Can I replace just some of my windows?
Yes. Some owners start with the elevations that suffer most and do the rest later. We can match the style and colour so the house still looks consistent.
Should I replace or spray my windows?
Spray if the frames are sound and only the colour is the problem; replace if the frames, hardware or seals are failing. We can quote both side by side.
