    Shop front spraying

    Shop front spraying on site

Shop front spraying gives a shop, café, office or salon a new frontage colour without replacing the frames. We clean, key and mask the frames, glass and signage, and spray a specialist 2-pack coating on site in any RAL colour, so the frontage can match brand colours or a refreshed street scheme.

Because nothing is taken out, the shop stays secure and can often keep trading, and out-of-hours access can be arranged so the work fits around opening times.

    • Office, hotel and school window frames
    • Any RAL colour, including brand colours
    • Out-of-hours access to limit disruption

    What we check before quoting

At the survey we look at the frame material and existing finish, the condition of seals and glazing, how much masking is needed around signage and glass, and access from the street. If frames are failing rather than faded, we will say so and quote for replacement instead of a finish that will not last.

    How commercial frames are prepared

Preparation decides how long a commercial finish lasts. Frames are washed and degreased to remove traffic film, grime and salt, then any loose or failing coating is taken back. Glass, signage, door hardware, seals and the surrounding brickwork or cladding are masked off, and the surface is keyed and primed so the 2-pack coating bonds properly rather than sitting on top.

Entrance doors and the lower parts of a shop front take the most wear from customers, trolleys and deliveries, so they get particular attention at this stage.

    Matching RAL and brand colours

Commercial work is usually about matching something: a brand colour, a head-office specification, a neighbouring unit or a street scheme agreed with the council. Because we spray to any RAL colour, frames can be matched to a reference rather than chosen from a short list. If you have a brand guideline or a RAL code, we work from that; if not, colour samples can be checked against the frontage in daylight at the survey.

    Working around trading hours

A frontage covered in masking is not good for business, so the work is planned around how the building is used. Out-of-hours access can be arranged for shops, cafés and offices, and larger buildings such as hotels and schools can be sprayed in phases so only part of the frontage is out of use at any time. Because the frames stay in place, the building stays secure throughout.

    Aluminium shop fronts

Many shop fronts, office entrances and curtain-wall frames are aluminium rather than uPVC. Their structure usually lasts well, but the powder-coated surface fades and chalks with sun and weather. These frames can be keyed, primed and sprayed on site in the same way, giving an aluminium frontage a new colour without replacing it.

    Spray or replace?

Spraying makes sense when commercial frames still open, lock and seal properly and the problem is a faded, dated or off-brand colour. It is not a fix for failed glazing, broken mechanisms or damaged frames. Where those problems exist, replacement may be the better long-term choice, and we will quote both routes where both genuinely apply.
